Day 45: NEW CAR

August 25, 2012

My new 2013 Chevrolet Sonic ST Turbo! His name is Tails. I don't know if many will get the reference, but it makes me smile. It's a pretty grey, hatchback and 6 speed manual transmission. It's an awesome little car. Even Dorian likes it. :)) Also I was able to finance it all on my own...I guess that constitutes me as being a big girl now. HA!

I got my fitbit back!!! Look at me go!! I was so happy to see that I was walking an almost normal day. The little things in life...plus I climbed the world's tallest corn stalk. 

Day 42: First Day Back At Work

My first day back to work and right before I head out, I find my lucky penguin!! :)) One of my old swim students had given this to me a couple of years ago and she said it would always bring me luck, mind you she was like 4 years old. But regardless, I was glad to have a little extra luck.

I passed the walking test!! That was the most horrible and painful thing that I did but I DID IT!! Now I am home...exhausted but I am home.

On my way home, I was hit by a van on 294S. It was a rough hit and I ended up having a nice ride in an ambulance to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. 

Day 33: Museums on Us!

I was a little bored today and realized that I haven't been to the Art Institute or the Shedd Aquarium, two of my favorite museums to go to in Chicago. Then Bank of America must have been reading my brain because it sent me a reminder email about their Museums on Us program and guess what....both Art Institute and Shedd Aquarium are on it!!! So I have planned some well deserved trips to both. :))

We made it back to the hotel room around 3:00 am and passed out from the nights frivolities and after some people woke up around 8:00 am, some cuddling time was needed. So cute!

For KellyAnn's birthday celebrations we decided to do two things: (1) be lazy and (2) GO OUT!! So after a full day of river tubing and tacos, KellyAnn rallied for the after party at She-Nanigans Bar and Mothers....needless to say, it was quite a night!!

Tony and his fanciness got us FREE tickets for the Friday White Sox Game against who knows who. We sat in the 13th row slightly to the left of the home plate. Probably the best seats I have ever had. It was amazing!! And on top of it all, WE WON!!

I was in dire need of something Chocolate and a cupcake...so to Barnes and Noble I went to get a most delicious Chocolate cupcake. Needless to say, it made my day a million times better.

So Holly over the past weekend got called fat by some mean Asian people....well I decided that it was a good idea to take her on a walk so her feelings wouldn't get hurt...so to the Library we went!! Where, obviously, my mom could get a book. :))

Day 27: Midterm stress....

I officially got the great news from my Professor that our midterm grades were in....I got a B! I also learned that a B was on the higher end of the scale of grades, which makes me feel even more ecstatic since this class has been extremely difficult. I get a good pat on the shoulder and a little less stress!

Day 26: Happy 18 years Parental Unit!

August 6, 2012, is my awesome parent's 18 year anniversary! We all went to Coldstone for a little ice cream treat after they cam back from dinner at Sushi House. Of course they cannot take a normal picture but at least we tried...we can be a little dysfunctional. :)) Love you both!! 

Day 25: Recovery Day

August 5, 2012, was a recovery day for Holly. She had a big weekend of swimming, canoeing, camping and hiking. She was so tired that all she did was sleep when we got home. She fell asleep in my clean clothes and I couldn't find her for a good hour. She didn't even wake up when I called her. Poor puppy!!

Day 24: Camping Trip!

August 4, 2012, was a great weekend of camping, hiking, and obviously canoeing! Holly did great for her first time in a Canoe. :)) It was a hot day but great fun!

Day 23: "L"

August 3, 2012 I went straight from work to have dinner downtown at The Purple Pig. Now normally I would have taken a picture there at dinner, but after having a rough conversation, I decided to not take a picture at dinner and take a picture of how cute I looked from the waste down, because that's all that looked cute from the heat that day. :)

Day 22: No Power

August 2, 2012, the power went out at work for like 30 minutes. It was a glorious 30 minutes of trying to figure out what happened and to see if we could leave early. Needless to say it went back on *TEAR* and we had to continue to work *MORE TEARS*. 

Day 21: Awesome Run

August 1, 2012, I went on an awesome run for me! This heat has been killing me lately so I have been only running about a mile a day. But today I was DETERMINED to do more and for the hills that I did, I feel pretty happy with my 2.15 mile run. :)

Day 20: James Bond

July 31, 2012, I saw this car while driving to work and for some reason it reminded me of James Bond and the driver just looked so cool. LOL. It made me smile as he zipped by everyone with his British looking way. HAHA I have no way of knowing if he was British but in my head he was James Bond. 

Day 19: Cutting down the trees

July 30, 2012 was a very chaotic morning for me. I was startled by ComEd showing up asking me if we were taking down Tree's. Me and my very confused and blank stare must have frightened them because then they were all like, are you SURE that you are taking down these trees??? Needless to say, they forgot to call my mom to tell her that yes they were cutting down trees. Now our backyard looks a little naked but the neighbors were very kind and bought us a baby Oak to plant. :)

Day 18: Relaxation

July 29, 2012, Dorian and I went to bed at 4am, then woke up at 10am to get to Brock's House. Which let me tell you is in the middle of no where Illinois, but it is a beautiful drive and the weather was perfect. I finished my homework and then sat and read Michael Crichton's Pirate Latitudes; which I loved!! It was a wonderful Sunday afternoon sitting outside and enjoying the sun!

Day 17: Tony's Annual BBQ

July 28, 2012 was Tony's annual BBQ, which of course is always around his birthday. We are always so terrible at taking group pictures and we finally did take one! This was right after playing basketball for a million hours then cake cutting then cake fight, which Tony lost. Overall it was a great day/night, staying up until 4am. :))
